Goa Mukti Divas is celebrated every year on 19 December. The Indian Army liberated Goa, Daman and Diu from Portuguese rule by conducting 'Operation Vijay Abhiyan' on 19 December 1961. For this reason, Goa Liberation Day is celebrated on this day. 4668 Portuguese were imprisoned during the Goa liberation campaign.

The first Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Tripura State will be established in Sabroom. Government information released in this regard has said that Rs 1550 crore will be spent on this project, which will provide skill-based employment to about 12,000 people in this area.
